Kenda Kist jewelry is hand-crafted and designed by NC based artist, Kenda Kistenmacher.

Handcrafted pieces with big city impact

From growing up in Iowa to studying metal design at East Carolina University, I have always found inspiration in the objects that surround me. Infusing my hand-crafted jewelry designs with unique twists, Kenda Kist Jewelry strikes the perfect balance between trending silhouettes and timeless classics. The line is functional and lightweight, making it perfect for all occasions.

The line’s design is creating a nationwide fanbase as consumers appreciate our dedication to quality. Kenda Kist Jewelry holds impeccably high standards. All pieces are crafted from the finest gemstones and precious metals available, all sourced responsible and combined artfully.

This woman-owned brand continues to grow, and I am proud to continue to offer more and more job opportunities for fellow artisans in our community as the jewelry line increases.

A Family Affair

Kenda Kist Jewelry is proud to not only be a woman-owned business, but also a family-operated enterprise.

Mary Mac is currently a senior at N.C State University with a  major in Fashion & Textile Design (Concentration: Textile Design) her Hobbies include, Oil painting, being at the beach, outdoor walks.

She studied abroad last year in Italy and fell in love with Jewelry making, which is how found her way to  her bench position at Kenda Kist Jewelry.

Kate - Assembly

I’ve known Kate since she was little girl, so when she moved back to NC I jumped at the chance to have her help out at the studio. She is very detailed oriented and is the one who puts the final touches on your pieces.

Kate loves to travel and hang out with friends.

MAGGIE - BENCH PRODUCTION

Maggie came to work with us during the pandemic, she started out as an intern on assembly and quickly moved into bench work. She is a natural at hammering and soldering and excels at her craft. In her free time she has been exploring wax carving and loves to create graphics for local bands. She is bright, creative and her smile lights up the room. She is currently studying metal design at Appalachian State and helps out during school breaks.

IZZY - INTERN

Izzy started her internship the spring of 2022. We love Izzy’s energy and her willingness to learn. I love our Saturday chats about music, feminism and drumming. Izzy plays the drums so she is a natural with the hammers and she is the coolest 15 year old I know, with the best music taste.

LAUREN

I met Lauren over 10 years ago while she worked at Cat Banjo (one of my first ever boutiques that sold my jewelry) and eventually for a short stint we worked together there. We’ve been lucky to have Lauren on the team for the past few years. She is our quality control, inventory and shipping extraordinaire! Lauren loves all things Halloween, art, rescue animals and hanging out with her family. Fun Fact: She has been Vegan for over 20 years.

Fran

I’ve known Fran for many years, first as a frequent customer to my days working at Gypsy Jule. She’s always been one of our biggest fans and is now our special events coordinator (also Christina’s Mom) If you have been to any of our parities or special events, you know and love her! Fran is our hostess with the mostest. She loves to cook and gather with her friends and family.
